The New Zealand Antarctic Society Inc. was formed in 1933. A Membership to the Society entitles members to Antarctic, the Journal of the New Zealand Antarctic Society.
The Antarctic is a full colour, magazine-style, quarterly publication. It is unique in Antarctic literature as it is the only periodical which provides regular and up to date news of the activities of all nations, non-governmental organisations and private expeditions at work in Antarctica and Southern Ocean.

The Editor welcomes articles from Society members and non-members alike but reserves the right to refuse to publish an article for any reason whatsoever. Note that all articles will be submitted for editorial review before publishing.

The Editor can only accept original pieces of work-that is if you would like to submit something from the web or the newspaper etc, you must rewrite the information in your own words and submit it with a copy of the original for consideration.
We welcome articles at any time on any subject relating to Antarctica, the sub-Antarctic Islands and the Southern Ocean.
